Guerillascope’s travel and tourism team recently had the pleasure of spending a week in the company of a host of great brands at this year’s ITT Conference in Sicily.
Looking to solidify Guerillascope’s profile and reputation within the sector, our five-strong band of intrepid travellers was blown away by the welcome we received.
From catching up with old friends and enjoying lunches with the UK’s leading news brands, to sharing our travel marketing tips with companies wanting to learn more about the media options available to them: barely a second was wasted across our four days in the Southern Italian sunshine.
But of course, another key reason for our attendance was to ensure we remain on top of the latest industry trends and insights. We were well catered for on that front, with a series of educational business seminars dominating our itinerary!
Particular highlights included TUI’s Sustainability Story; a keynote speech from MP Dawn Butler on how to succeed in business; and a session from Lisa McAuley, who took us through 10-years of evolution in the travel and tourism sector. We were particularly engaged by her insights on how acts of terrorism and Brexit have impacted on consumer perceptions and buying patterns. Invaluable learnings were also gained from a talk on ‘The Global Cruise Industry Today’.
As an agency that places great importance on developing trusted partnerships with likeminded media specialists, we were also thrilled to touch back down in the UK with a clutch of exciting collaborations in the pipeline. We believe our efforts in this area will significantly improve the service we provide clients operating within the travel sector, including the likes of Teletext Holidays and Calypso Sun Care.
